MIAMI LAKES SMART GROWTH PLAN Land Use/ Planning Attorney Services

I would like to have a discussion with my colleagues with respect to adopting a policy whereby when large scale/high impact future Development, Site Plan, Zoning, Quasi-Judicial, and/or Land use items come before the council, that we have the services of an attorney specializing in that area of practice to support the Council in its decision making capacity.

I would also like for the Council to consider the value of applying the same policy to similar situations which may come before the Planning and Zoning Board.
