Town of Miami Lakes Memorandum To: Honorable Mayor and Town Councilmembers From: Alex Rey, Town Manager Subject: July Council Meeting Date Date: 5/3/2016 Recommendation: AtJuly Council Meetings, the Mayor and Council adopt a preliminary millage for the upcoming fiscal year based on the Ad-Valorem Tax Roll which we receive from the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser's Office on July 1st. Per the Special Rules of Order of the Town of Miami Lakes, if the meeting were to be held on July 5th,the agenda distribution date would be June 29th. Therefore, I respectfully request that the July Council Meetingbe held onthe fourth Tuesday, July 26th.
