During the May 2018 meeting of the Town of Miami Lakes Public Safety Committee, Miami Dade County Fire Chief Downey provided some feedback to the Public Safety Committee on how the Town and the Miami Dade County Fire Department could support the deployment of an additional Fire Rescue Unit to service the Town of Miami Lakes. The options presented by Chief Downey at the meeting ranged from paying for an additional level of service to options which would come at no cost to the residents of the Town.

I would like to direct Town staff to explore and review all options that are available and would support an additional Fire Rescue Unit, and provide a report back to the Council.
